While the US spends 1.5 trillion on war, China is beginning to automate farming.
You get what you invest in.
Do you want a society that invests in war, or in the future?
Tesla doesn't recongise Trade Unions.
Apple doesn't recognise unions.

These mega businesses are not on your side.
Nothing depreciates faster than a tank of fuel. Yes, EVs depreciate. So do petrol cars. But one burns hundreds monthly that vanish forever. 'Fuel depreciation' & oil volatility deserve much higher public scrutiny. It's a case of sunken assets vs energy-independent households. #EV
Nuclear power still needs massive infrastructure, huge water use, and yes. Even mined fuel supply… all costing $$$
It’s so much easier just to put some panels out in the sun and collect the nuclear energy for free.
This is another example of the deliberate neglect of the entire housing portfolio by @fordnation. People living in campers because there is no affordable housing.
The Federal Government has indicated that they do not support the expansion of Billy Bishop Airport "at this time".
Just a quick reminder that if jets were permitted this is what would happen (assuming it reaches it's 10 million passengers projection).

New York takes on the myth that solar is swallowing farmland. As the White House and viral influencers push misleading info about solar, New York says the facts show the clean energy source and agriculture can thrive together.

Remember this is what air traffic increases will do at Billy Bishop Airport and the entire Toronto waterfront:
If projections are met there will be at least 60,660 MORE flights every year. 166 more flights EVERY DAY!
This will destroy the waterfront.

Broxted Estate solar farm in Suffolk has had a 41% increase in its biodiversity since 2011, suggesting a future where nature and renewables can co-exsist. Since 2013, Broxted Solar Farm has generated more than 350 GWh of electricity. At the same time, 19 red and amber listed bird species (under threat), have been recorded in and around the farm. Jo Green, Wilder Ecology Manager at Suffolk Wildlife Trust, said: “More than 12 years of habitat and key species monitoring has generated a valuable long-term ecological dataset in an area where such evidence is scarce. “This robust evidence base, combined with collaborative working through the Environmental Management Group, has been fundamental to the site’s ecological success.” The solar farm manages its wildlife habitats using grazing sheep, whilst also supporting food production.

Every number here is real. The comparison is missing.
Per megawatt-hour, solar produces about 2 kg of inert, recyclable waste. Coal produces about 90 kg of ash laced with arsenic, mercury and lead, plus a tonne of CO2.
Cumulative solar panel waste 2016 to 2050 runs 54 to 160 million tonnes. Coal ash over the same window: 46 billion tonnes. Coal generates monthly what solar is projected to generate in 35 years.
A turbine gets replaced once every 25 years. A coal plant gets refueled every day it runs. You've described a maintenance schedule and called it a nightmare.
Rolling back environmental regulations just like his hero Trump. Some RW populist BS and appeasing big donors to the @OntarioPCParty.
Apparently this isn't actually popular. @fordnation is on the wrong side of the times again. Idjit!

A fully masked ICE agent pepper sprayed a woman in New York yesterday merely for videotaping.
This is what tyranny looks like in Trump’s America. Imagine if Biden had Trump supporters pepper sprayed for videotaping.
