As the shortest kid in school, I was a target for bullies. At age eight, I befriended a kind teenager who looked out for me.

Years later, I learned that the Klan murdered him and two others for registering Black voters in Mississippi. Their bodies were found 60 years ago today.

@BrianLehrer the garbage cans are plastic, the lids are not put on, attracts rats, when it's bagged in yard you see the "presence of rats" -- super is not proactive, landlord is never present (i live right outside the door to the back with the garbage)
