So #OCDAwarenessWeek is coming to an end.
Kindly reminder that OCD is not a personality trait, nor an adjective.
OCD is a debilitating illness, to which I've lost the possibility to work, to go outside freely, of motherhood, and so much more.
If you have depression and you’re vocal about it (for suicide prevention, decreasing stigma etc), you’re seen as a difficult person who has soooo many troubles and problems and you are made to feel like a burden to those around you. So no, just talking doesn’t work
"You are not alone i swear" but many people really are. Many people have family and friends around them but still are alone. Completely alone. No support, no compassion, no love from others
A reminder that not all disabilities are visible.
Just because someone doesn’t look disabled doesn’t mean they aren’t. You have no idea what someone is dealing with behind closed doors.
Perhaps think twice before judging, questioning or challenging someone based on your own assumptions.
Disability doesn’t have a look, and nobody should have to prove theirs to satisfy someone else’s curiosity.
october is OCD awareness month. i wish for people to educate themselves on OCD and to understand that it is a debilitating mental health disorder. it isn’t just being organised and clean. OCD has taken years of my life from me and i wish people knew how awful it really is.
I had forgotten about #OCDWeek tbh.
It's in October, and for such, I'd like you to please consider the misconceptions the illness has.
I couldn't become a mother due to OCD; to that extreme.
So no, OCD is not a crooked pic on the wall.
Please be mindful, thank you.
Oly 🥉🥉 & WC🥇Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik were split up this year but reunited ahead of the 2026 WC.
Soh - Before we partnered we were friends but then he got married and left me! We've been through a lot. It's emotional. We didn't know the plan was so we cherish this moment
