Now taking new clients for freelance! My books have been closed for a while, but I’m opening my schedule up again. Message me at tera (@) teracuskaden (.) com for inquiries.
@mel_thegreat I was looking at the perspective of her as the Institution as a whole, not his bro & dad. In interviews I’ve seen, he hasn’t said they were racist, the tabloids are. But if they are racist, and he’s been tiptoeing around it, they can burn too.
@mel_thegreat I was leaving her out of the equation because that’s an entirely different thing that I don’t think can be mended. They have been awful to her and I think they should all burn for that one. But you’re right.
@mel_thegreat I do feel like he did this book to get it all out, to deal w his grief and his hurt from them. And based on his interviews, I think he truly means it & wants to mend fences. But if I were the one being called shockingly bald in a book, I would not take that as an olive branch. 🤣
@mel_thegreat I’m about to start it tonight… but your point about him being naive is on point. He keeps saying he wants to mend fences with his family, but he basically trashes them at every turn (it feels like to me).
My goal this year is to only use library books. I’ve been in a place for far too long of forcing myself to finish books I’m just not that into because I paid for them. Plus, the more you support books you love at your local library, the more funding they can get—hopefully.
“No one goes to the library anymore—” speak for yourself, brah. Library use has been steadily rising. Folks under forty use libraries in massive numbers. Libraries have become essential, all-purpose community centers.
Y’all, if Elon Musk can’t even run Twitter or pay for the building and janitorial service, how’s he gonna run Mars or the moon or wherever tf he wants to build a space station?
Story time. And it’s… something.
Dad: Got a Paperwhite, so I decided to get on the library website & borrow some Anne Rice bcuz I’ve never read her & you love her writing.
Me: Awesome!

@Aightball My dad just turned 60 in September (he and my mom were babies when they had me), and his growth from about 40 to now has been A LOT. I love seeing how our parents can grow and come around.
@Aightball My BFF and I have been together since the first day of kindergarten, and there are times where she is like “how are these the same people?!” I love how they have learned and grown as I have learned and grown.
In summation, my dad is reading one of the most shocking, explicit books I—a person w/ almost 20 years of editing erotic romance—have ever read.
And he’s loving it.
It is almost unfathomable to me sometimes how this is the same person who raised me in a VERY conservative Christian household & would have been out marching against LGBTQ rights & abortion rights if he were the type of person who marched.
