The MV Hondius hantavirus outbreak traces back to Dutch ornithologist Leo Schilperoord, 70, and his wife, Mirjam.

On March 27, they went with other birdwatchers to a landfill outside Ushuaia to look for white throated caracaras, also called Darwin’s caracaras.

Birders go where the birds are, and in this case, that meant a rodent infested dump so contaminated that locals avoid it altogether.

Hantavirus can live in infected rodent urine and droppings. Once that waste dries out, dust can get kicked into the air by wind, cars, or people walking through it. You do not have to touch a rat. You can breathe it in without realizing it.

Several passengers had been to that same landfill before boarding the ship on April 1. Leo started getting sick days later and died aboard the Hondius on April 11. Mirjam later died too.

Skutečná událost - 2 opilí kluci, Praha - I.P. Pavlova, večer a děda s nebinárním vnukem, kterému jeden z té dvojce začal pro jeho vzezření nadávat do buzíků. Děda ve snaze bránit svou rodinu - klukovi, co vulgárně zaútočil, vrazí facku. Druhý kluk, který si zrovna odskočil za roh, už jen vidí jak jeho kamarád dostává… Běží, aby ho bránil - strčí do pána a ten padá na zem. Tak nešťastně, že vlivem pádu, dochází k vážnému poranění hlavy. Krvácí… Kluk, co nadával do buzíků, utíká pryč. Ten, který do pána vrazil v domnění, že je jeho kamarád v ohrožení, zůstává a snaží se pomoci, přivolává záchranku. Omlouvá se, tohle vážně nechtěl. Pán bohužel po pár dnech v nemocnici umírá. Zranění hlavy bylo smrtelné…
Jak vše pokračuje dál? Jak uvažovat o vině a trestu? Kdo a za jakých okolností může druhému nabídnout akt milosrdenství? Kdo si ho zaslouží? A jak moc prohlubujeme dál zranění těch, kdo vyrůstali ve zraňujícím prostředí?
Včera jsem díky pozvání @KKalibova z @InIUSTITIA zažila nejsilnější představení svého života. Nemohla dojetím nabrat dech a jen tleskala a tleskala a přála si, aby představení “Facka” Dejvického divadla vidělo co nejvíce lidí ze všech sfér. Je to dechberoucí zážitek.
Prosím, jděte na to. Kupte vstupenky svým přátelům a rodinám. Věřím, že nebudete litovat.
