KAVANAGH CALLS GAME.

@USALMNT takes down the favorites @LacrosseCanada, 12-11, thanks to this Pat Kavanagh GWG for the PALA gold! 🥇

Waking up this morning to a story I'd like to share.

First and by far foremost, thoughts & prayers to the family of the deceased. Unbelievably tragic.

@RPIMLax player Will Roberson caught a young man jumping out of a burning house. (@CvilleCometsLax)

Just finished an update with additional entrants throughout the day. Up to 67 on the men's side.

Interestingly, also at least four members of the high school Class of 2022 who have used 4 years of eligibility who aren't currently listed on this page.

The 2026-27 @NCAALAX Transfer Portal opens to grad students on Oct. 1.

Those who enter are largely looking to transfer for the 2027-28 school year, i.e. the ’28 spring season.

As of 9:30 a.m., there are 50 players in the @Inside_Lacrosse Portal Tracker: https://t.co/xQKevsrHLd

My first reaction: 2028 is a good year to need an excellent d-middie.

If they wanted to, this grad class could all pick a school to go to together and win a championship.

The 5-in-5 era in lacrosse is here.

Near entire classes of Ivy League players hit the portal this morning, all looking for a 5th year home in 2028.

The Cavs keep getting richer.

This was poorly phrased/framed by me. Those 2027 numbers are total to-date.

Through 9/12/25, there were 112 MDI ’27 commits.

Through 9/21/25, there were 458 WDI ’27 commits.

@TerenceFoy @Inside_Lacrosse @ILPreps @ILWomen Curious Terry, in your opinion does this mean anything? 27 class more talented or is this just circumstance? Also wonder if the 5 year rule has anything to do with the slowdown?

[Terry Foy @TerenceFoy]

A quick check-in on where commitment volume is 21/12 days after the start of DI contact:

•2028 WDI Commitments in the DB: 491
•2027 WDI Commitments in the DB: 1,033

•2028 MDI Commitments in the DB: 210
•2027 MDI Commitments in the DB: 864

One of my favorite pieces to write each year: Why Philly Won: https://t.co/wOBSYuKeHp

[Terry Foy @TerenceFoy]

Why did @PLLWaterdogs win the 2026 @PremierLacrosse Championship?

Among other reasons (i.e. CJ Kirst), because they scored too many different ways, like a FOGO flip-passing to a wing who dances on the crease & finishes with a twister — this is an unbelievable clip.

[Terry Foy @TerenceFoy]

The only stat Denver won was penalty minutes.
