There are photoshoots that, in my eyes, go far beyond simple fashion and turn into a story of identity. This meeting between Demet Özdemir and Alperen Şengün for Magnet Quarterly truly touched my heart. 🧵👇

The theme of this issue is "Bağlar" (Connections), and I find it incredible how two completely different paths – acting and basketball – blend into the exact same feeling: the ability to fly incredibly high in the world without ever cutting the roots that tie us to home. 🇹🇷

On one side I see Demet 🎬, who touches me every single time with her talent and extraordinary expressiveness, breaking down every language barrier. On the other side, there is Alperen 🏀, carrying his flag to the most prestigious courts in the NBA, dominating with the strength of someone who remembers exactly where he started.

Visually, these shots have such a magnetic and intimate power 🌊. The warm earth tones, the raw wood, the horizon, and the sea frame a closeness that needs no filters. I can sense a beautiful harmony in their poses: a celebration of youth, well-deserved success, and above all, pride in one's origins.

The quote accompanying the shoot says it all for me: "Sometimes the strongest connection we can build with the world comes from going further without losing sight of where we came from."

I feel nothing but pure pride watching the journey of these two extraordinary talents. ✨
