While half-naked men were wrestling in a cage at the White House, Russia bombed the Pechersk Lavra, one of the most important sites in Eastern Orthodox Christianity and the spiritual heart of East Slavic Orthodoxy.
Russia is a terrorist state.
Just watched @shanselman and Mark Russinovich drop one of the most important truths about AI in engineering, and it needs to be said louder:
"AI isn’t killing engineering, but it is quietly killing something far more dangerous: the junior pipeline."
Here’s the reality most companies have already learned:
AI delivers its best results when senior engineers work with it.
Their judgment, intuition, and experience are what turn AI from “helpful” into “game‑changing.”
But AI has also replaced almost every junior‑level task, scaffolding, debugging, boilerplate, testing, and many teams have stopped hiring juniors altogether.
And that’s the real danger.
If juniors disappear today, there will be no seniors tomorrow.
No juniors → no mid‑levels → no seniors → no architects → no one left who can actually guide AI safely.
We’ve seen this firsthand too.
That’s why we are heavily investing in our #cs_internship open-source program, to keep a strong flow of junior talent and give them a real path to grow into the next generation of senior engineers.
Because the future of engineering depends on the people who aren’t seniors yet.

Today is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism. The day when all of Europe marks the end of the most terrible war of the 20th century. A war after which there should have been only genuine peace. That was the dream back then, when the guns of World War II began to fall silent.
That war turned our land into a battlefield of brutal fighting, abuse in occupied territory, and the mass destruction of people and life. The losses of the Ukrainian people were among the greatest in World War II. And the contribution of Ukrainians to the defeat of the Nazis was also among the greatest. Millions of Ukrainians, serving in various armies of the Anti-Hitler Coalition states, fought against Nazism. Millions of Ukrainians were among the victors, having done everything in their power to ensure that absolute evil was defeated.
Unfortunately, 81 years later, we are once again forced to stop evil – evil that is just as absolute. Evil that brings nothing but ruins and abuse. And evil based on a similar ideology of enmity. An updated version of Nazism, marked: made in Russia.
Today, such Russian aggression can and must be defeated by the united free world. And I am grateful to everyone who helps us defend life. I am grateful to everyone who is not allowing this Russian regime to dictate to the world what comes next. Defending people’s lives and the freedom of nations from Putin is an absolutely dignified way to honor the memory of those who did not allow Hitler to subjugate Europe and the world.
Eternal gratitude to all who fought against Nazism and liberated people! Blessed memory to all innocent victims of World War II! Glory to every defender of life! Glory to Ukraine!
The evidence is undeniable:
Mass graves in Bucha. Thousands of stolen children. Systematic torture.
Russia is not just invading. They are trying to erase a people from the map.
This is genocide. Treating it as just a war is a moral failure
"Words matter. It's a Putin crisis, not a Ukraine crisis.
There are no separatists; they are Russian occupation forces.
There is no Russian president; there is a dictator with nukes who wants the world to dance to his tune."
- Garry Kasparov
Just wow,🫡
Great man
#MargaretThatcher had her faults, but when it came to #russia, she was always very clear!
"As #WinstonChurchill said in the thirties, if you give in to aggression there will be no end to the humiliation you will have to suffer. Some people suggest there should be negotiations. What is there to negotiate about? You don't negotiate with someone who marches into another country, devastates it, killing whoever he stands in his way.
You get him out, you make him pay and see that he is never in a position to do these things again."

Call it whatever you want, but this is what a losing invasion looks like in real life.
I have spent years in Ukraine, on training grounds, near the front, and inside the system. If Russia were winning, this war would not look like this in year four.
They would not still be grinding forward meters at a time. They would not be burning through equipment from the Soviet stockpile, pulling out T-62s and T-55s, and fielding poorly trained replacements to fill gaps left by massive casualties.
Armies that are winning do not mobilize repeatedly, empty prisons, or trade tens of thousands of lives for small pieces of ground.
Your Iraq comparison is exactly right. If the United States had invaded Iraq, lost hundreds of thousands of troops, failed to secure the country after years of fighting, and only controlled a fraction of the terrain, no serious person would call that victory. They would call it a strategic failure. The same standard applies here.
Ukraine is still fighting. It's command structure still functions. Its society is still intact. It's military is adapting faster than Russia is. Russia is not advancing because it is strong. It is advancing because it is willing to spend lives at a rate no professional military would accept. That is not winning. That is attrition without an exit.
Anyone calling this a Russian victory has never planned operations, never trained soldiers for combat, and never watched what a real winning campaign looks like.
This war has exposed Russian weakness, not strength, and it has done so in front of the entire world.
Slava Ukraini. Heroiam Slava. 🇺🇦
Chancellor Merz:
Dear friends, the decades of Pax Americana are largely over for us in Europe, and for us in Germany as well. It no longer exists as we knew it.
That's the way it is. The Americans are now very, very aggressively pursuing their own interests. And that can only mean one thing: that we, too, must now pursue our own interests.
And, dear friends, we're not so weak after all. We're not so small after all.
Chancellor Merz:
It is a war of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, against Europe. And if Ukraine falls, it won't end. Just as the Sudetenland wasn't enough in 1938.
Putin doesn't stop. And anyone who still believes he's had enough should carefully analyze his strategies, documents, speeches, and public appearances.
Theres a very long list of US products that cannot be sold in the EU thanks to EU regulations. Since the favorite pastime of the Trump regime and every US oligarch is now to demonize EU regulations, I thought it would be very much worth going through some of those products.🧵
