Today my beloved cat and everyone’s favorite REAL streamer, Fräulein Bach, left this world to join cat heaven.

She had an untreatable cancer in her mouth, which made eating and drinking very painful, and it was more humane to let her go.

I adopted her two years ago from an animal shelter. She was around 15-16 years old already. She was old, and her loud meows were also a reason people didn’t want to adopt her, while for me and my community it became an iconic sound and highlight of the day whenever she blessed us with her loud MYAAs, wanting the attention and the spotlight she deserved (or if there was no food for more than 5 minutes).

She helped me through a lot. She made me get up in the morning because I had to take care of her, and she comforted and took care of me in hard times.

The beginning of the year was incredibly hard, and I wanted to give up more than once, but knowing that that’d mean she’d be abandoned again stopped me.

And now that life took a turn for the better, now that I’ve never been this happy before, it feels like she was able to feel that and was able to go knowing that I would be in good hands - with my girlfriend, friends, and community.

It is a really odd feeling to be the happiest I’ve ever been while at the same time being this heartbroken. Will need some time to process that.

I’m grateful for the time I’ve been able to spend with her, and I’ll never forget it.

Get some KFC or just chicken in her name - it was her absolute favorite ❤️

I love this cat, and she’ll forever be with me.
