As part of TERRAGRN soil moisture monitoring, we measure water/water vapour held per soil unit. The soil's moisture-holding capacity can be influenced by regenerative practices such as incorporating organic matter & using mulch to cover the soil to reduce evaporation.

TERRAGRN has dug our own borehole, to guarantee much-needed water for our plants and to reduce our reliance (and therefore carbon footprint) on acquiring water from surrounding farms.

Amongst the range of plants TERRAGRN has planted, Erythrina humeana commonly known as the dwarf coral, an ornamental tree native to South Africa at the pilot site, has been planted.

The Validation and Verification Body (VVB), Carbon Check (India) Private Limited was on the TERRAGRN site between 6 – 8 June’23 to audit and review our project. Isha Kapoor, the lead auditor from carbon check, conducted the on-site inspection & stakeholder interviews.
