The old GAW community was a completely different back then, majority of Filipinos and Indo, with people from other countries in smaller numbers.

All hosts used pickers no handpicking, no Blue Check requirement, and no need for engagement. You just had to follow the common community rules and whatever rules the specific GAW had. The host rules were also much stricter, so you couldn’t just get prizes easily after winning. Prize only if all conditions satisfied.

Then the repeated mass 🍣🍣 happened, and more than 50% of the hosts and hunters disappeared. With very fewer hosts around, people slowly started joining influencer/KOL/project GAWs directly.

The problem was that you never really knew how those winners were being selected. random picker, Grok, handpicked, most visible, etc. So engagement became necessary for some/most GAWs.

Thats when people started helping each other with engagement. And a lot of them are actually the same friends from the old GAW community who still get along and support each other today.

Now a days people from many countries get to know about this giveaways and started joining. The community which has more active people support each other.

2 years ago 99% of my gíveaways joining are from host. Now its mixed . I join 30% only on host gaws.

Most will never understand without knowing any, they will simply say everyone is bot.
