@Taxsavvyjessica Dude needs to cut back on his caffeine intake! A client who is attracted to this approach isn't one I'd want to work with. π ββοΈ
@RestPoliticsUS@KattyKay_@Scaramucci I'm a fan but have to correct @KattyKay_ . It's pronounced & spelled Middletown (i.e., Middletown is between Dayton & Cincinnati) not Middleton, as in Pippa. And that part of Ohio is Rust Belt. Losing manufacturing devastated the area. His Eastern KY family IS in Appalachia.
@CPATaxTeam Seriously, dude - join the UT Facebook group. I was the "champion" at the firm when we switched from ProFx to UT & that group was a lifesaver! Most of the time, I could find my answer by just using the search function instead of posting. Learning from other users is the best!
@cordes_tax I have a white board with 2 columns of hashtags - one for 1040s & one for business returns. With so many clients going paperless, I NEED something visible to record my completed returns! I get a dopamine hit whenever I add marks to the board at the end of the day!
@cordes_tax@BrooksBrown_23@juno_tax It uses TR's Source Doc program, which wasn't available until late February, so I didn't take the time to really learn how to use it. I suspect my problems with it are self-induced. Still better than an untrained staffer, not sure about an experienced one.
@BrooksBrownEA I used Juno with Ultra Tax this year. Wasn't available until TR released their source doc program in late February. I used it as first-pass data entry, then reviewed & finalized the return. It improved as the season went on, was especially useful for prepping extension payments.
@EdCokeley@TimothyCarter09@CurtPhilipczak Prior to going solo in 2020, l knew that UT price went up approx 5% per year. I started with our intro costs, calculated the increase for each year & the year 4 actual cost was pretty close. Wasn't pretty but at least I was prepared for the cost.
@jasononfirms As a sole prop, I only used it to organize & import into UltraTax. On returns w/basic 3rd party docs, it probably wasn't worth the time but I used those to get familiar with the process. I liked that it handled hand-written items well & caught duplicates. Definitely saved time.
@KeruboSk Walking past the greeting card aisle at the grocery store in June. Been 23 years since I bought a Father's Day card & it still hurts to see those cards in the aisle.
