Brett Cross boldly testified in front of a Texas House committee in support of legislation that would raise the minimum age to buy semi-automatic weapons from 18 to 21.

Brett Cross: “I'm so sick of hearing those three words from our elected officials…

While your prayers may have comforted you, they did nothing to absolve our pain...

Your thoughts and prayers didn't stop an 18 year old from purchasing two high powered semi automatic rifles and all of those rounds of ammunition.

Your thoughts and prayers didn't stop us from having to bury our children and two teachers.

Your thoughts and prayers haven't done anything in the 329 days since Uziel was shot through his stomach exiting his spine.

Your thoughts and prayers are useless unless you have thought and prayed for legislation that you can help enact that could change this.”

The first image is of Jewish children holding hands as they walk to a gas chamber at Auschwitz, unknowingly.

The second photo is of happy Auschwitz staff enjoying a pleasant day off. Their jobs were helping to kill people like the kids in the first image.

Hate, lies and brainwashing make normal people do horrific things. The importance of an open dialogue, free from government overreach, can not be overstated.

This is one of the most powerful historical photos I've ever seen.

They are Jewish prisoners being liberated from a death train in 1945. They were en route to concentration camps. They would have likely all been killed, many of them almost immediately.

Allied soldiers intercepted it and set them all free.

This train appears to be mostly women and children. Although 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust, many millions more were also offed because of the insatiable hatred of one man and his supporters.

By the time this photo was taken, the passengers knew exactly what this train meant.

You are staring at “the moment” these people realized they wouldn’t be dying in a group execution. I can’t even fathom the relief they felt.

Relief isn’t even a strong enough word.
