@stacymcanulty I hate when Amazon started allowing anonymous ratings without reviews. At least when someone rates a product 1 or 2 stars and gives a lame reason, we can eye roll and move on. Low ratings without a reason, just lowers the overall rating and looks bad.

What a difference 6 days make! Last Monday when it 'felt like' 0°, I was wearing 3 layers, including a ski jacket, ski pants and snow boots, and I was still cold. Then on Sunday, I could wear a sundress no problem. This is crazy weather, even for Texas.

The core characters in the Oscar and Emmy Series remain the same (Oscar and Emmy, Abby and Charlie, Mom and Dad). Sometimes there are recurring characters (Ms. Andrea). There are also cameos (Santa and Abby & Charlie’s cousin).

The great thing is that all of my books are stand-alone and can be read in any order. There are extra little nods or references to the other books included in each book for those familiar with all of the books.

If you followed my 'Green With Envy' Book Launch, you learned that it took 13 months from idea to publication. ‘Oscar and Emmy’s First Christmas’ had a longer journey of 3.5 years. The story format, story timeframe, and illustrator changed along the way.

Since my Oscar and Emmy Series is informational fiction (inspired by real cats, people, and events), I submit reference photos for some of the illustrations. Students at school visits (pre-COVID) always loved these comparisons. I hope you do too!

Roksana Oslizlo came recommended from my previous illustrator, Natalie (who became too busy to continue my series). ‘Oscar and Emmy Visit the Vet’ was Roksana’s first O&E Series book. She has already begun illustrations for book #6 in the series (details coming soon)!

Oscar and Emmy have their own logo! Tia-Rose Pezzani created a logo for the Oscar and Emmy Series. She incorporated the title (font and shape) of the books and the cat silhouette to come up with something completely creative and unique. I love it! #OscarAndEmmySeries #TerriSabol
