Strong communities are built on trust, connection and shared responsibility.
When people feel supported, informed and included, they are less vulnerable to manipulation and harmful influences.
Community resilience is one of the strongest forms of prevention.

BUILDING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AGAINST VIOLENT EXTREMISM.
NCIC joined @NCTC_Kenya, @EU_Commission, County leaders, and stakeholders in Elgeyo-Marakwet County for a consultative meeting on the establishment of a Security and Community Policing Working Group to strengthen efforts in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE).
The engagement, aligned with Kenyaβs National Strategy to Counter Violent Extremism, brought together key actors to support the development of county-level mechanisms for addressing emerging security threats through a multi-stakeholder approach. A key outcome was the nomination of NCIC, Deputy County Commissioner, and County Peace Officer to support the development of the Elgeyo-Marakwet County Action Plan on PCVE. This provides a framework for coordinated interventions, community resilience building, and enhanced stakeholder collaboration.
Together, we continue to champion peace, social cohesion, and sustainable security through inclusive, community-led solutions.
