No matter how you vote in the #LocalElections, Labour will hold power nationally for 3 years with a big majority, that won’t change
What WILL change is your local council’s Competence, Accountability & the Quality of Your Public Services
That choice is yours
Your vote matters
I find this stuff pretty silly. The spending isn’t “the state”. It’s us.
It’s the demographics of an aging population and the impact of that on the triple lock, social care and the NHS.
We reform these or we pay more tax. Those are the choices. Everything else is denial.
I don't know how accurate this news story is but Clare Popplewell is one of the most important, valuable and wonderful people anywhere in the BBC.

I’m not a fan of Starmer, but whatever he does – literally whatever he does - he is ripped apart, ripped to shreds, by the telegraph, Mail, express, Sun, spectator, the very same people who installed Boris Johnson and the appalling Liz Truss.
The same people who installed the governments that caused Brexit and the financial chaos that has ensued, the same people who have driven this country into the ground.
I’m sick to death of them.
They are the biggest threat to this country and all of us across the board, no matter what our politics are. We need to get billionaires out of the Media
Yeah, let’s fawn at these completely ordinary and talentless people some more. It’s just what will make Britain great again. Go on, bow, fawn, faint at their greatness. And a dress also worn in 2019! Is there no end to their brilliance! 🤯🤦🏻♂️
This idiocy will finish Britain off.
Struck by how supine so much coverage of the Royal Family continues to be, even now. “Business as usual” is the line I keep hearing. No, it really isn’t. And it shouldn’t be.
Words on journalist principles‘..objectivity is not the same as neutrality. If there’s an aggressor and a victim, a liar and an honest person, a corrupt individual and an honourable one, then your task is to describe all that clearly..’ https://t.co/hpEns3f8Hf
BBC news just now:
“(Andrew)…has had to move into temporary digs”
Really?? We’re calling them DIGS??
Come on! I think we can safely say he’ll not be shivering in a cold, damp flat somewhere 🙄
What should alarm us about the Epstein files isn’t just the appalling details.
It is the degree to which enormously wealthy and powerful people live by their own rules — and continue to get away with it.
It’s a club where the rules and the law don't apply. And you’re not in it.
Here’s the lesson of the Andy Burnham saga: Labour needs a new leader.
Even Toynbee abandoning Starmer
Need policies not cults.
Pledges that mean something.
Inclusivity not authoritarianism.
Redistribution, not trickle-down
Public ownership of essentials

Compare the language. Farage: ‘take issue with’, ‘object politely’, ‘not quite fair’. Starmer: ‘insulting, frankly appalling’, ‘I’d certainly apologise’. First real test and it’s Farage, not the PM, who proves the bootlicking coward unable to stand up to the anti-British bully.
