PERFECT SELFIE
I took a selfie in the morning light,
After another long day
and another long night…
And it struck me as perfect
That all I could see
Was the eye of my camera looking back at me.
@lancejorton@emschumacher @carrieehowell @audgehowell I don’t post much here these days, but I’m so happy for you! May you be gifted with the most beautiful of afternoons - perfect weather or no :-) and God bless you and grant you both an abundance of joy as you begin this new journey together.
@david_cort7 I haven’t posted here in some time, but I had to stop here and say I’ll be praying for you and your family.
My husband and I are in the same age group and have watched several of his coworkers go through this in the last several months.
Praying for you, David. — T
Just a summer postcard about a little day trip I took in June…
that unexpectedly became a Big Trip…
that led to a long ambulance ride…
and surgery…
and 9 days in the hospital…
and 12 days in skilled rehab…
Home now with some cool souvenirs - wheelchair, walker, and this -
@jodi_harrison I agree. My older kids are pretty rattled - the shooting happened about 15 min. from our house, so everything about this story is really close. ...I'm so glad he's home with his family today, but KCPD needs to make an arrest and some clear progress toward justice on this asap.
@jodi_harrison My son and this young man are actually in the same Northland Youth Symphony organization - Ralph is in the orchestra and my kiddo is in Sinfonia.
Everyone in NYS/NYO has been pretty shaken up about all of it.
At the top of the hill, I waited
beneath the tall sycamore lightly dressed for spring,
our bare white limbs shaking in the cold steady wind — Saturday had promised summer, after all.
Together, we watched the sea of spent storm clouds sailing away east
and dreamed of summer.
It was nearly 70 the other day and my girls got out their shorts. Next week, it’s forecast to hit 70 again.
First, though, Missouri has to flex a ‘lil bit…
@HorowitzLana Online research was what I chose - but just because it was the first step. Being able to read in private first helped to get up my courage to pursue therapy…which was equally helpful. I think they were both vital to me - I couldn’t have done the one without the other.
My 14-year old made me breakfast this morning… smashed avocado, thinly sliced tomatoes, some Asiago artisan bread thick-sliced and toasted just right up under there…
Ya’ll.
She is my favorite.
@LShalott I don’t remember when they each passed…but I’ve been remarried for 23 years this year, and they were all gone before that.
I was….(poking at my calculator bc it’s that kind of day apparently)…29 when I got married… so, I was in my 20s. They were all in their early 70s.
