Retired. Worked at Bangkok Post producing web lessons for language learners. Retired and living in Patong, Phuket near the beach. #EFLlearners#ESLlearners
If any of you have a dream to work on a lucrative website based on current news for English learners, I've got one in mind. Got a lot of content and 25 years' experience doing web lessons for the Bangkok Post. Looking for a content writer and someone who uses AI creatively.
I've been living near the beach in Patong, Phuket for almost two years now. If you are ever in the area, you can join me.

Classmates: Found a brand new Youtube channel that gives good advice to people like us who are near or at 80.

Learned that I have to add a lot of simple activities to all the walking I do.
I've been quiet as I approach my 80th birthday, but I have been posting content based on my newspaper days. If you are an English learner or teacher, take a look at Words from the News. I've posted several hundred so far with many more coming. https://t.co/IhKjHJR6BZ
I'm finding that AI-generated images are very helpful for understanding vocabulary on my shorts channel. This is the one I generated for GRIEVANCE.

English learners: It looks like almost everyone sees my shorts content through the feed, so few see what the channel looks like. There is actually a lot there with much more coming. https://t.co/IhKjHJR6BZ
English learners: CATCH OFF GUARD is an idiom many of you probably don't know. Learn to understand it in less than a minute here:

English learners: Unless you are advanced you probably don't know these 3 words posted on my Words From the News YouTube channel. Can understand them in less than minute?

My new Youtube shorts channel now has 58 words with 3 news ones everyday. Click on "shorts" to see them all.

I mentioned I started a YouTube shorts channel (https://t.co/IhKjHJR6BZ) to give learners a quick start at understanding vocab found in news stories. I've found generating AI images to be very helpful. Example: https://t.co/1AHmrkaaJE
I give only a single definition, reflecting the meaning of the word in the news story where I found it.
You might want some AI help (MS Copilot, Google Gemini, etc.) Use a prompt like: "Define mitigate and give five examples of its use." Add "in easy English" if necessary.
English learners and teachers: I've started a YouTube shorts channel focusing on words used in topics often covered in the news. https://t.co/IhKjHJR6BZ You should be able to understand each word within one minute.
