Each 1st of October we unite to reflect on the noble labour of our forefathers to achieve independence for Nigeria.
64 years of independence have come with their respective successes and failures. However, we must take pride in the fact that this country has remained united and pushed through its challenges.
As citizens, we must remember that this country belongs to all of us and we owe our generations to come a prosperous and working Nigeria.
I congratulate all Nigerians on this momentous day. - RMK

I was pleased to receive a large number of former members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who decamped to the NNPP in Kano State.
This defection of the erstwhile APC members from Dala, Kiru and Gwale local government areas is testament to the good works that the NNPP government is doing in Kano State.
It is also a message that Nigerians have suffered enough and no amount of pressure or intimidation will change their minds.
It also signals that Nigerians should rethink over the current dispensation, as it has now become clear that the APC-led government is clearly against the poor masses and will never change.
Moreover, regardless of their beliefs and plans to use the security agents, the electoral body and other bodies in the forthcoming elections, it will not be possible as Nigerians are tired and will surely struggle for change.
I also declared that anyone interested in joining our noble movement is welcome, as the APC structure continues crumbling across all levels. - RMK
