We’re older. That just means we’ve been alive longer than you. It’s not an insult, it’s a fact. It’s the one universal rite of passage every human being eventually goes through, whether you like it or not.

Being older doesn’t make us obsolete. It makes us infinitely wiser than you because we’ve already made the mistakes you’re still convinced are brilliant ideas.

You’re young enough to believe you’ll never get old and that you’re somehow smarter than everyone who came before you. Spoiler: you’re not.

Instead of mocking the people who’ve already walked the path, try learning from them. Embrace the ride as you age because the alternative really does suck.
