Stop the proposed changes to the Motability Scheme: https://t.co/gHAUOwKwLJ
Taxing advance payments and reducing mileage allowances could hit disabled people hardest.
For many, a car isn't a luxury, it's independence. Rural communities would be especially affected.
#Motability
People shouldn't be forced to give up being part of the Motability scheme
Whether you use the scheme yourself or not please sign and share this to try to get to 100,000 signatures so disabled people continue to have choice & live life

@RhysMccole Is that Pompeii, it is amazing if you have time try to get a trip to Herculaneum. The building were smothered with lava rather then ash and mud so are preserved differently. It’s just a few stops along the circumvesuviana train.
🚨 New report out today!
Disabled people in Northern Ireland are almost 2x as likely to live in poverty as non-disabled people, in some of the first research of it's kind in NI.
Hear @mcmullen_sheena and Christine Ellison set out their findings and what can be done 👇
@DPACNIreland@UKLabour Sure it will all be fine, theme park tickets and biscuits will be reduced in price. Really helpful for people who can’t afford food, electricity and heat.
@MikScarlet Motability cars aren’t free! The upfront payment surrender of mobility component means that a car with £3500 will cost the user £15,00 over the lease.
@MarkYoung23 I have been in diagnosis for a year. Small bowel crohns. This is my first treatment.
First treatment is by infusion and then self injection every 8 weeks.
So thankful for the NHS and the IBD team.
@dunkingwithfish Oh that’s not good news Sheenagh.
Travel insurance is so hard to get when you have health things going on. I have been able to get travel insurance for a few years but we have found a lovely cottage outside Cork which we are returning to this year.
@Translink_NI Thank you for your reply. I was asking for a relative, they normally book a seat when travelling to Dublin and they are travelling this afternoon. They usually book first class. Will their booked seat be reallocated to the amended service?
