Perhaps the most famous soldier in Uganda-Rwanda history. A revolutionary whose life and legacy made him a hero of two nations.

Born in Rwanda, his family fled to Uganda after the 1959 Rwandan revolution. He was only two years old. /1����

And with this ruling, majority of Ugandans run into excitement. It’s a jubilant moment, a sweet feeling, a rare sensation❤️

Shouts of “We have finally won!” “At last, we have a decision to celebrate about from our judicial system!” “This must be the best S.C decision that there has been in the last two decades!” and so on…..

Clearly, and without any grain of doubt, majority of the Ugandans (if not all), are so excited about this S.C decision! Well, the excitement and jubilation is justified! It’s a win!

My usage of the word “UGANDANS” is deliberate. I have in no form and manner biased it to the supporters of the NRM, NUP, FDC, DP, mention it.

This, in my humble opinion, is an indication that what Ugandans desire to see is such a flicker of hope, that such a decision is made, in a manner that expressly has a positive binding on our national jurisprudence.

With such a decision, we literally forget what political parties we are inclined and affiliated to, and celebrate as one UGANDA🇺🇬

This equally implies that when impunity happens in our various National systems, we strongly condemn it not because of our political beliefs and affiliations, but because we are UGANDANS, and thus, concerned about such!

Often times, this is branded as being unpatriotic and enemies of the Nation. This, in my opinion, is not always the case.

We celebrate, we praise, cry and laugh; depending on the prevailing circumstances, not on the question of our political alignment.
I stand to be corrected, if this is not actually the case.

That said, I join fellow Ugandans in celebrating this landmark victory for our national democracy!!
To the judges, well done!!

Let’s now wait to witness the implementation part of this!
