It was at a pizza place near Target Field. I happened upon a familiar face, a person I had thought was far behind me by now, a young woman who had once given me trouble. My daughter doesn't know about her.

So today I actually had a "date". It wasn't planned at all. But it was nice.

I've been thinking of her all day. I do think of her every day, but today I can't keep my mind off her. I think of her smile. I recall her scent, her soft skin. Her laughter I still hear when I catch my mind meandering.

I really enjoyed getting her dressed when she was little. She's always been the cutest girl, so making her look even cuter was incredibly gratifying.

But the times when she ended up admiring herself in the mirror, and then looked at me and said, "Thanks, Daddy", absolutely melted my heart!
