v14 Lite Release Notes:
– Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3. This allows HW3 to directly learn how to handle scenarios using HW4 V14 as a guide. This process unlocks the improvements that have been made to HW4 including Reinforcement Learning (RL) and offline models for HW3.
– Improved both proactive and reactive responsiveness across a wide variety of categories including navigation handling, merges and forks, pedestrian interactions, traffic lights, and vehicle cut-in scenarios.
– Improved general comfort in nominal scenarios through fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering and more consistent lane centering.
– Introduced parking, unparking, and reversing capabilities.
– Added Arrival Options for you to select where FSD should park: in a Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, or at the Curbside.
– Speed Profiles are now available at all times, to further customize driving style preference.
Epic FSD HW3 roadtrip, SLO, Anahiem, Palm Springs, Sedona, Grand Canyon, and back. Using FSD about 97% of the time. Just noticed a cobweb on my petals, and I keep a clean car. Excited for V14 lite, thanks @TeslaAITweets
@wholemars I have HW3 and it does get better with every update especially the last two, I rarely intervene now. Just needs reverse and parking. Soon enough they will solve with software.
So tonight, I got into an argument with my Uber driver about adding a stop for my home, which was farther than the first stop. My take is: drop the guilt trip and take me home—basically, shut up. I took robotaxis twice tonight before this Uber driver, and it was a non-issue. I’m paying you; take me home with no drama, period.@Elon
