Tesla on Optimus: "We have decommissioned the manufacturing lines for Models S & X at our Fremont Factory and are installing the first-generation lines for Optimus, where we expect to start production soon.
The initial Optimus builds will be used in our Optimus Academy for training data collection and further functionality development. Additionally, we continued site development at Gigafactory Texas with building construction now in full swing."
If you need more reasons to tell your friends why to buy a Tesla, JD Power has a few. Tesla was 'unofficially' ranked 3rd IQS (initial quality), 1st in EVX (EV experience) https://t.co/H4s5ewHepf https://t.co/H4s5ewHepf
Am converted. Just drove from south San Francisco through Oregon without touching my steering wheel. Tesla full self drive is both magical and life changing, relaxing and maybe even life saving! Thank you @elonmusk for the technology!
A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son.
His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival.
Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
🚨 European Tesla owners, the moment we’ve all been waiting for years is almost here.
Only 3 days left until April 10, when the Dutch RDW is expected to decide on approving FSD Supervised in the Netherlands.
Tesla Europe has already completed the final vehicle testing phase together with RDW, submitted all required documentation for UN R-171 approval + Article 39 exemptions, and says the system has proven itself on European roads.
If the RDW gives the green light (and expectations are high after all the delays from February to March to now April), what happens next?
- Immediate rollout in the Netherlands is very likely.
- For the rest of the EU: many countries could recognize the Dutch approval nationally, with a broader EU-wide rollout potentially following in summer 2026 through mutual recognition or European Commission steps.
The big question for all of us patient Europeans: how quickly does Tesla actually activate FSD in our cars once approval hits?
In other markets, Tesla has pushed the OTA software update very fast, often within days to a week for existing FSD purchasers. Sometimes they start with a wave rollout, or offer a short free trial period first. Will it be the same here? Will owners who already bought FSD get priority access, followed by subscriptions @elonmusk@teslaeurope ?
All you FSD-hungry owners from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, UK (post-Brexit wait is even longer), Spain, Italy, Sweden, Poland and everywhere else in Europe, this is your thread!
Drop your predictions below:
- Will RDW approve on April 10?
- How fast do you think the OTA will drop?
- Would you drive (or even fly) to the Netherlands for the first real FSD experience?
- What version are you hoping for (12.x, 13.x or newer)?
Let’s discuss. Tag your fellow European Tesla friends and let’s keep the pressure positive. We’ve waited long enough. 🇪🇺🔋

🚨 My Tesla literally saved my life yesterday. What started as a normal drive turned terrifying fast.
I unintentionally fasted for 17 hours, took some medicine, and had a severe allergic reaction. My body shut down—I passed out while driving on the freeway, mid-conversation with my wife on the phone.
Thank God my Tesla had Full Self-Driving engaged. It detected I lost consciousness (thanks to the driver monitoring system), immediately slowed, activated hazards, and safely pulled over to the shoulder. No crash. No danger to anyone else on the road.
My wife heard me go silent and knew something was wrong. She used @Life360 to alert emergency services—they located me within 5 minutes.
They attended to me enough for me to tell them, 'I don't want to abandon my truck here on the freeway.' So the Tesla autonomously drove me the rest of the way to the ER. I walked in, got admitted, and they stabilized me overnight.
I'm being discharged today—levels back to normal, feeling grateful and alive.
Huge thanks to my incredible wife for staying calm and acting fast, and to @elonmusk@Tesla@tesla for engineering cars that literally protect lives when the driver can't. This isn't just convenience—it's life-saving tech. 🙏⚡❤️
My first unsupervised @robotaxi ride here in Austin! Come along with me on this 1st experience of driving around Austin with just me in the car and in the back seat!
Congrats to the @Tesla_AI team! 🤠👍
BREAKING: First ever Tesla Model Y robotaxi with no-one in the drivers seat spotted testing on public roads in Austin, Texas!
Tesla's new "Robotaxi" wordmark/logo is on the side of the vehicle.
NEWS: Tesla has started rolling out software update 2025.14.12 with a new feature called 'Child Left Alone Detection,' which will flash the vehicles lights, play an alert tone, and send a notification to your @Tesla app if an unattended child is detected. https://t.co/C9wrJ9TBXu
