i think the hardest part about losing my mom so young isn’t the part of growing up without a female figure in the house. it’s that i constantly am told i remind people of her and i don’t even remember what she was like.
i’ve spent the last 6 months hating myself for a stupid mistake. today i took the big step of officially forgiving myself and starting to work past it. i feel such a sense of relief.
i now live an hour and 15 mins from idlewild, but still agreed to work one day a week over the summer on top of my job at the hospital… at what age will i let go of the job i got when i was 15??
in 2021, i had to sell my house and move an hour away from everything i know, went through some testing for cancer (i’m okay thank god), left the boy i thought i’d marry someday, and lost my best friend. praying 2022 will be a little kinder to me.
