I’m forever grateful for the impact that Susan had on Tess as her second grade teacher and will always be grateful for the years we were colleagues. A beautiful service today to celebrate one of FCPS’s beloved teachers gone too soon.
2/2 “Choose to paint this canvas of life with colors of gratitude, love and wonderment.” It’s suicide prevention month. Connect with the people you love. Extend a hand and give grace. Mason, you will be so missed. ❤️
(1/2) I met this sweet soul as a student in my first grade class & then watched him grow up with my kids. He’s engaging, funny, kind, warm and now he’s tragically gone. His journal entry shared by his family is a must read.
Our class was so excited, and honored, to have a lifelong teacher working with us today…Nannie Jones (combo of Nannie to me, Mrs Jones to kids) was amazing. We can’t wait for more Wednesdays with her help!!! #RooHoo@fcpscanning
There aren’t too many people I’d drive over an hour on a Tuesday night to watch coach in 90+ degree heat but @tesscanning is at the top of my list! Nice win coach, proud of you! Those girls are lucky to have you!
My daughter attended a memorial today for an amazing young man lost to mental illness. Amidst the devastation was a message about removing stigmas and reaching out to give and to ask for help. The Rubik’s cube’s message is such an important one. #justkeeptrying#reachout
Thinking of the parents sending their children to school this morning and the teachers and staff carrying this massive invisible weight. You are just what your students need today and you will do what you always do, love them. We see you and we appreciate you. #bettertogether
On International Women's Day, I celebrate these two amazing young women; their strength, grace and ability to positively impact the people around them. If you don't know them you should! @MsCanning1@tesscanning#proud
