I joked the other day about Zhang with STSS potentially being the Tom Lee of Solana, but this clip starts to solidify that vision a little bit more.

If you think crypto ppl are subject to KOL influence, traditional investing crowd is 10000x more.

There's literal industries in traditional finance dedicated to letting other ppl tell you what to do with your money, and the best storytellers and vision casters are the winners there.

We've all heard "digital gold" and "digital oil" for BTC/ETH (even if the convo has largely gone away from digital oil for ETH), but "digital silicon" is extremely clever branding for normies.

What do the most recent cohort of "new money" ppl in their 30s and 40s know?

Tech. Computers. Silicon-based inventions.

It's no surprise that the largest companies in the world are all silicon-based tech companies that have pushed the boundaries on compute in the physical sense.

Tying the Solana DAT narrative to digital silicon is brilliant for a messaging strategy.

Get this guy on CNBC and let him sell that message to finance bros and young tech guys (outside of crypto) - they'll eat it up.

It's also been comforting to read that STSS is largely buying open market SOL rather than locked SOL....I think there's a huge difference between buying extremely discounted locked SOL (basically generating exit liquidity for locked-SOL holders from retail tradfi) and buying open market SOL (actually absorbing real supply). imo DATs buying on open market like Saylor and Lee are much healthier because of the way their raises work and the actual liquid mNAV.

Will probably write a bit more on why open market buying for DATs is why I'm not super worried about forced selling...watch for that this coming week
