If NGOs are the ones actually cleaning drains, fixing local problems, and doing the work that municipal bodies should be doing, then why are they forced to beg municipal corporations for trucks, bulldozers, and basic support?

The government should rethink this model.

Instead of blindly funding municipal corporations like the Municipal Corporation of Delhi @MCD_Delhi and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation @mybmc, funds and operational authority should also be given to credible NGOs that are delivering real results on the ground.

If an NGO has to clean a drain or clear garbage, it shouldn’t have to request MCD machinery.

It should have the authority to directly order trucks, bulldozers, and the resources required to get the job done.
