Scavenge space junk with your grappling hook and bolt it to your spaceship. Use it to propel yourself to ill-advised speeds and take down technofeudalist bosses
Ran a test to make sure rockets no longer get stuck in the main body during ejection.... Always good to push your systems to their limit!

As I mentioned last time, I’ve been doing a study on modular system design recently and wanted to show off a quick example of the type of versatility that I’m building towards… so here: grappling hook on a mining droid!

Project Rope Tool Devlog #11
Yeah… it’s been a while since my last log. The reason is because I’ve been in a giant rabbit hole. One of my biggest concerns about the project has been scalability. As it stands, it's not very easy to create and test new objects and levels quickly.
Rope Tool Devlog #10
Both halves of my level editor design are now working together! You start by drawing an area as your “canvas” and then you cut into it with the nodeshapes!

Concept sketch for what I want the game’s environment art to look/feel like! Still playing with saturation and value but I’m happy with what I have so far
Project Rope Tool Devlog #8
Took the game to the BrookLAN playtest for the second month in a row! I was finallyyy able to show off the new lower resolution graphics that I have been working on since the start of this year. Wooo!!!!

Oh boy these are getting more and more sporadic aren’t they? The latter half of last week I did a few lighting/environment tests and followed it up with a bit of much needed code reorganization. Nothing new to show just yet!
