The foundation of universities has been the scholarship of primary sources. However, it’s now shifting to LLMs which are at best secondhand repetitions and at worst outright hallucinations.

Many of the “AI” interventions mentioned here are the equivalent of paying for a gym that has machines that lift weights for you. I don’t mean it’s sort of like that, I mean, in educational contexts, it’s the exact same logic. It’s absurd in its face. I feel like I’m going insane
It’s not that it has no consumer use: it’s that the all the consumer uses are bad. They’re net negative both for the individual and the society.
Primary uses for AI are cheating on homework, slacking off at work and giving yourself delusions of grandeur.
