At this point, I don’t trust this site as a social media platform anymore. I have set up a Bluesky account (https://t.co/zKNiXKpVoE) and a Mastodon account (https://t.co/ImDFXwmFls).
I use my Syndic script (https://t.co/Ouupmw3MDK) to post to the 3 sites at the same time.
Note: I will start using this platform less as I start transitioning to Bluesky (https://t.co/zKNiXKpnz6; used more), Mastodon (https://t.co/ImDFXwm7vU) and blogging (https://t.co/gYQoz4qH69; not ready yet).
@FacebookAIslop You crack the pan. You pouk (puke?) egg. You have eggs in a circular container. You pou. You have a floating whisk with no handle. You fry egg, with stuff pouring out for some reason. You egg. Bone apple tea.
Also, just don't use overlays (#accessiBe, #UserWay and other scripts claiming to fix accessibility issues.) Design your site with accessibility in mind. I could write an entire essay about overlays, but there are already so many. (3/3)
For anyone who thinks that "click here" is helpful:
It's not the '90s, when the World Wide Web just started.
The <blink> element doesn't exist anymore.
Your site is not hosted on GeoCities.
It's one of my core pet peeves by now. Just change the link to what it goes to. (2/3)
@Shefali__J You go to a website and it tells you to fill out a form:
“Enter your Social Security number”
So you type random digits just for fun. But then:
“Sorry, this Social Security number is already taken. Forgot password? Click to regain access instantly.”
Most secure website ever.
Bit of constructive criticism, @internetarchive:
Stop letting people use three-character passwords.
(Registration and email verification is currently broken and returns 403)
@yarden_shafir Especially if it's an app. Especially if I need to waste time making an account.
It should've just been a website, so something like an App Clip, because people are probably only using it once. For access control, a solution is a display with a QR code that changes every minute.
The first interactive ad I've seen in some time:
Daily @duolingo lesson: heart count gone (probably a bug), then when it's finished, you actually had me swipe to answer the Lily video call feature and I thought I somehow got free Duolingo Max. Then it told me to pay up.
