CAF is set to discuss major reforms for African football during a series of meetings led by President Patrice Motsepe.

Key topics include:

Former Botswana 🇧🇼 President Ian Khama has strongly criticized Zimbabwe's 🇿🇼 Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, accusing President Emmerson Mnangagwa of amending the constitution to extend his tenure in office.

Khama argued that the legislation places Zimbabwe among African countries where leaders remain in power through constitutional changes.

He also disclosed that two independent sources had warned him of an alleged assassination plot linked to his remarks.

Khama further argued that democracy is deteriorating across the SADC region, citing Mozambique 🇲🇿, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, and Tanzania 🇹🇿 as examples.

The bill, which extends presidential terms, passed in June 2026 and was recently signed into law.
