@mpicardi@Exiled_axe@PastyA_@TakesWereMade_ I was just a player. I wasn’t in their meetings to know who did what. From my seat in the clubhouse, what I said is how it seemed. He said so himself that it wasn’t what he signed up for… he wanted more control than they wanted to give him is how it seemed.
@Exiled_axe@mpicardi@PastyA_@TakesWereMade_ Wasn’t Jeter. Idk how high up the chain it went but he left because they wouldn’t let him make the big decisions. A lot of the staff came from the old Yankees regime and wanted to enforce their “rules” and control how we looked instead of performance. Jeter wanted to win.
@Exiled_axe@mpicardi@PastyA_@TakesWereMade_ -“part of the future” didn’t want to use me while the team wasn’t good.
-“leg kick is too high” with no runners on base
-“hair is too long” (cut it and didn’t get called up)
- and they didn’t like my facial hair, which I also cut and didn’t get called up.
@BGraves05 I also never got to play in a game in college due to my right knee wanting me to be a rehab/scout team all American. After my second ACL surgery, I had no interest in playing.
@BGraves05 I had 2 more years of eligibility for football when I got drafted. Dbacks told me when I signed I wasn’t allowed to do any football training, participate in any football combines, or workouts. Even told me I wasn’t allowed to warm up with a football before minor league games.
@Max_Holmes10@BayAreaExaminer@USFBaseball I’ll cast my vote that he is better than me at football. I never made it off of practice squad/rehab. I would like to watch him pitch. He seems pretty legit at both sports.
The “riser” slider, sweeper, frisbee, curveball, I don’t know what to call it but here it is. 8-15 inches of vertical break with negative 14-20 horizontal.
Starting to get ahold of the “rising” slider while mixing arm slots. Here’s a recent live where I declared my arm slot for each at bat until the last hitter. I’ve been up to 92 mph side arm with some pretty wicked offspeeds #pleasesignme#freeagent#baseball
@TPAnc coming in clutch when it comes time to train and setting up a live Bp on moments notice. No surprises there. Thank you guys for everything over the years.
LIVE AB’S👀
Special thanks to TPA Athlete Tommy Eveld for using our space to stay ready💪
Another thanks to TPA Nationals Braden Bloom & Mason Dean for standing in & getting some cuts off of elite pitching this morning👀

Tentative schedule ⬇️
@BGraves05 Throw really hard, at the knee and letters, on the corners with at least 1 nasty off speed but preferably 2 that you can throw in any count.
Being too coachable (and being afraid to say ‘no’) is a massive Achilles heel in many players’ careers.
It’s YOUR career.
Just because a coach says something doesn’t mean you have to blindly follow it.
Be respectful, but take ownership. Don't be afraid to ask 'why'.
I’ve had lots of fans compare the way I look to Randy Johnson, I tried to see if I could channel a little side arm action. Not quite 100 mph or 7’, but up to 92 just messing around with 3 pretty nasty offspeed pitches #doppelganger#sinkersweeperchangeupcutter#touchdowntommy
