🚨 TRUTH VS LIES 🚨
VIDEO 1: Gen. Museveni says Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi “hired goons with pangas” to attack security if NUP lost in Butambala.
Reality (15.01.2026): Over 10 innocent Ugandans were brutally killed by security that very day.
VIDEO 2: Captured by Kivumbi’s family — Hon. Kivumbi was locked inside his house, while his people in the garage cried for help as security continued the massacre. They were all murdered.
Now, the man whose people were slaughtered is in jail, while the killers walk free.
Uganda, we must never forget this injustice.
In the wake of the recently concluded elections, and the Judiciary being in bed with the government, i thought i should profile our retired honorable justices who diligently served the people of Uganda without fear or favor. I will start from home.
1. The late Honorable Justice Jeremiah Herbert Ntabgoba. Born in 1939 in the western district of Kisoro. He graduated with a bachelor of law degree from the University of Dar es salaam. He was certified in intellectual property from Australia and he went on to become the first Director-General of the African Regional Industrial Property Organization (ARIPO) based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
He was appointed as a principal Judge in 1989, and he was the first in Uganda's history to hold a position which requires one to administratively lead all high court judges, registrars and magistrates making it the biggest constituency in the Judiciary.
True to his name Ntabgoba ( loosely translated as fearless) he stood fearlessly tall as a judge. His knack of fearing nobody came to the fore in the early 2000's when General parts Uganda owned by Haruna Semakula was dragged to court by North Agencies owned by Shukla Mukesh over a piece of land found in kampala. The first judge to handle the case was forced out of the case when Semakula told everyone who cared to listen how he had the backing of Museveni.
Justice Ntabgoba took over the case and immediately summoned then state house lawyers Hussein Kashillingi and Fox Odoi asking them if the President was intent on interfering with the course of justice. To which they said the president has no intention. From then onwards Semakula stopped.
Justice Ntabgoba and Justice Kanyeihamba in 2001 openly rejected the bid to nominate Justice Leticia Kikonyogo as a deputy chief Justice. They mobilized other judges and they wrote a letter to Museveni asking him to rescind the decision to appoint Kikonyogo as the second most powerful person in the Judiciary.
Justice Ntabgoba described Kikonyogo as " suspicious and flawed".
On numerous occasions Kizza Besigye celebrated Ntabgoba's courage and fair mindedness.
Justice Ntabgoba opened the doors to public interest litigation. A case filed in the high court by The Environmental Action Network( TEAN)seeking declarations that smoking in public places was a violation of the rights of non smoking members of the public and their right to life. The case was presented before Justice Herbert Ntabgoba. The Attorney general raised a preliminary objection that TEAN had no right to bring an action on behalf of the Ugandan public. The constitutional court also said they couldn't accept the argument that any spirited person could represent any group of persons without their knowledge or consent. Justice Ntabgoba dismissed the Attorney general's objection and said; "The applicant says they are especially, interested in the infringement of the rights and freedoms of the poor and children, those who cannot know and appreciate their rights and freedoms and who do not know where to go and how to go there for redress. Is it not compelling that a body like the applicant stands up for them and fights for their cause. I think the applicant deserves hearing and i will hear it".
He ordered an expeditious hearing of the matter. He granted the orders sought which later resulted to regulations banning smoking in public places. Thus opening doors to public interest litigation in Uganda.
May the good Justice continue resting in peace 🕊️
@Rosethechosen Thank you Rose for the tribute. I must add, grandpa was the main character in the places he stepped into😅. Outstanding in every sense. He was fearless and humble which I still find rare. May he keep resting in peace.
@Naturinda96@ericoftomorr222 But what’s wrong with you and people’s hair?
If he can’t marry your sister, it’s fine, I doubt he mentioned her in any speech.
If you don’t know how you’ll tell your kids he was the president ULS, don’t have kids.
Get over it man, he’s been chosen and you’ll do nothing about it.
