🔥The wave magnitude is highly uncertain

PMC Update (Jun 1, 2026)

COVlD levels are "very low" relative to other time periods. 1 in 277 US residents are estimated actively infectious.

However, there active hot spots in the Central Appalachia Region, Guam, Franklin County (WA), & Morgan County (AL).

If >50% of a state's sites are "very low," the CDC labels the state as "very low."

The CDC should provide a national map showing each site so hotspots are obvious. They do not.

In fact, on April 10, the CDC took away the ability to even share a direct link to state pages.
