The TX chapter of @americanbic, we are a growing coalition of business leaders & associations committed to commonsense immigration reform in Texas & our nation.
MALC Chair @Victoria4Texas responds to Biden Admin border executive order:
“While Congressional gridlock continues to block long-overdue comprehensive immigration reform, President Biden has in his hands the executive authority to do something right now—extend work permits to long-term U.S. residents. We cannot afford to wait—long-term residents have worked and paid taxes for years, even decades, without the security of a work permit.
One in four Texas families are mixed-status. The economic boom to our nation would be $16 billion in economic activity from 10.6 million U.S. citizen adults who are a part of mixed-status families.
Times are urgent. We implore President Biden to leverage his administrative authority to extend work permits to long-term residents. Such action would be a positive step towards fostering inclusivity, enhancing our economy, and recognizing the valuable contributions of individuals who have made our communities their home.” #txlege

Thank you for meeting with @AmericanBIC Texas Director & #DACA recipient @JuanCar66198853, @VP Harris. Let us work together to fulfill @JoeBiden's promise to pass a bipartisan pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, farm workers, and TPS recipents.
Our Administration is committed to preserving and fortifying DACA. We need Congress to protect DACA recipients and pass legislation to ensure a pathway to citizenship for our Dreamers, farm workers, and TPS recipients.

Thank you @MayorMattie for supporting a bipartisan solution to #DACA. Improving border security & providing a pathway to citizenship for 11,000+ Fort Worth Dreamers is morally right and absolutely crucial to addressing labor shortages, reducing food prices, and creating jobs.
