@TJMoe28 I agree. I always think the same when it’s a woman doing something successful and it’s news. Like that’s such an incredible feat…she has a vagina and is successful! How did this even happen? Amazing! SMDH
@LoewyLawFirm Good for you! We got the email today that so many also received. Not enough tickets for fans that requested. Stung after paying so much for our Peach bowl tickets and not being able to sell those for even $75 each when we couldn’t go.
I can not figure this out. Longhorn fans…or @_delconte please help me understand.
As season ticket holders, We opted in to all bowl games because we had no idea where we would be and because we wanted the option of tickets before the resale market so maybe we could make the trip yet the resale market is already selling tickets for $94-$125 each in sections adjacent to ours at Peach Bowl & we had to pay $300 each plus cc fees from Texas athletics. For 4 tickets we are in $1270 total. I can’t even list mine yet. “Not available for download yet” (grey sections) so not available to list for sale even though my card was charged today. “Tix available for download by Dec 29th”
They are holding us hostage for up to a week!
Family of 6, we have to pick and choose where we go. Holding out for Cotton and maybe another trip to ATL. So thought we were safe by opting in…”we can always sell if they go and we can’t go”
Lost $200 on SEC championship tix already when sold those. And those exact tickets, were being listed on other sites, not by me, for much higher price and I could only sell through SEC exchange. I have no idea how they were doing that.
Anyway…I guess next year we won’t opt in to any post season if that’s even an option. We will just roll the dice with resale. Would love to hear how anyone else is handling this. Yes I understand this is a champagne problem to have but we are just a family with kids who are hardcore fans. Taking them to multiple bowl games isn’t cheap! But sure would like to feel like we are getting any kind of break on ticket prices by opting in to buy from the Texas Athletic department and committing ear on. We certainly don’t feel that way right now. We are already shelling out as much as we can to just try and hang on to season seats for all of us in the upper deck at DKR. #Texasfootball #peachbowl #CFP2024 #hookem #TexasFight
@texaschic0205@_delconte Yep, loyal season ticket holders got royally screwed here. Huge bait and switch. Having fans commit months in advance for what ended up being egregious prices for terrible seats is a real bad look.
@BevoUnited@mattchr@_delconte@McConaughey We will never opt in for post season again. Just roll the dice with the after market where seats that we paid $300 each for are as loyal season ticket holders are selling for $50 each today…
@mattchr@texaschic0205@_delconte Yup. CDC pulled the rug out from season tix holders in a very egregious way. Too busy rubbing shoulders with @McConaughey to care about the average fans.
@gracemart26@_delconte If anything why weren’t all of our tickets cheaper if they are obviously selling then for less than $300 for them to be resold for less than $100??
