Every single media article about Sec Kennedy being “anti-vax” should note that the UK, Italy, Denmark, Sweeden, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Austria and nearly every other developed country DOES NOT recommend hep b at birth if mom is negative.

These articles should also note the decision of the CDC to remove the COVID vaccine from the universal schedule is in line with the recommendations of nearly every other developed country.

These are the two proof points that substantiate the deafening media bullhorn that @SecKennedy is anti-vax. It is journalistic negligence to not provide readers context that - based on their rubric - nearly every other country in the developed world is anti-vax.

Media activists are criminally robbing readers of vital context that these two decisions would put the U.S. squarely in the scientific mainstream.

The “anti-vax” narrative is like the Russian collusion hoax - a media fever dream that is based on complete fallacy (and quite literally derived from talking points created by the same Democratic activists).

Many people on the left are being hostile and dramatic.

So the rest of us are all faced with a question:

Do we want to feel right, or be effective?

If you want to feel right then sure, fight fire with fire.

Call them crazy.

Call them brainwashed.

Laugh at their drama.

But as someone who voted against Trump in 2016 and 2020, I know it’s not because I was stupid or crazy.

I just didn’t know.

I was in fear.

I couldn’t see what I now see.

And someone insulting me wouldn’t have helped.

If we want to be effective, truth is necessary but insufficient.

We also need empathy, because half the country is scared.

And you don’t help a scared person by yelling the truth at them.

We still have a deep cultural problem.

And no politician is going to fix the culture.

We are the culture.

And every word we speak or type is improving, degrading, or maintaining that culture.

You are more influential than you know.
