@cshanahan151@Garrett_Archer How do you know it’s a handful? The system is designed so they throw away all the envelopes with the mail , no way to know where it came from after the fact
@Garrett_Archer If there’s a single illegal vote, which there was, that means it’s vulnerable. It’s binary. It’s either 100% secure or it’s not. There is evidence of illegal votes, so you are incorrect.
@AstorAaron@Garrett_Archer Absence of evidence does not mean evidence of absence in this case when the chain of custody is Swiss cheese, despite the gaslighting claims otherwise
@AstorAaron@Garrett_Archer There is no question our system is demonstrably less secure than third world countries. If you remove the ability to establish chain of custody and make elections a murky multi-month process to count the votes it can’t be effectively audited anyway
@GhostofSwiftH Correct. This would require them giving something up to even the playing field. Interestingly, Longitude patented this in 2003 (owned by NASDAQ) now. None of the US tracks use this https://t.co/8a5vXeqdu3
@GhostofSwiftH Effectively, every bet is a “market” order which leaves everyone totally exposed. If the totes refuse to update their system and give preferential access to a select few, they should at least allow “limit” orders (bet executes only if odds are above 3-1, 4-1 etc) at pool close
@GhostofSwiftH They use the same systems that HFT uses in financial markets (colocation) and other techniques. The 20-30 second tote cycle makes this even easier compared to millisecond latency on the nasdaq
@GhostofSwiftH Michael Lewis wrote Flash Boys about this. Most of the edge was eventually removed due to competition and evening the playing field in financial markets by 2014-2015 . That has not occurring on the totes
