@F15sRdaBest was a Selection Valve. This valve override the Normal sequence & when turned to the “both” selection (not the correct name, it’s been awhile), if the back seater initiated the ejection, both seats ejected.
The positioning of this Selection Valve was agreed to by the front seater

in normal operating mode, if the front seater initiated the ejection, both seats ejected, back seat first, then front seat.
In normal operating mode, if the back seater initiated the ejection, only the back seat would eject.
