When I struggle to structure my thoughts about what's happening I turn to writing. Today about the recent US Anthropic ban news, what it says about power and dependency, and what it should mean for Europeans and citizens of the world. It's a long one. https://t.co/6dpw0QOQeO

@henry_daggett In short: not what a designer would put together 🙃
But you can still get a good starting point: a comprehensive inventory of available components, tokens etc.
@Abmankendrick Good stuff. Been deep in OKLCH and colour spaces for a Figma plugin I built: https://t.co/YtNLo0buZs
Perfect companion to these tools for turning those picks into production-ready palettes.
@stephenhaney@writenicecode@paper@figma It doesn't feel very responsive especially when you try to perform small increments. On the other hand, admittedly, it's a matter of habit. I think Figma got it right because they allow pointer to move freely horizontally (which allows more tolerance / affordance)
@stephenhaney@writenicecode@paper@figma Had first hand experience and I agree that Paper cuts through noise in many aspects, and is the right tool.
Now, the limitation is feature parity (e.g. SVG editing) and performance (like the input scrubbing, which is not there yet)

Very much “early adopter” territory, of course. I’m more interested in finding the sharp edges than pretending it’s production ready 🤘
It covers many different scenarios and bridges realistic designer–developer workflows.
Is it battle-tested? No. But it’s already fun to use on real component sets.
New Website Inspiration:
One Pager taking waitlist requests for the Color Scales I/O @Figma plugin.
Neat touch with the interactive shuffle button, within the preview UI, that applies the shuffled color scheme to the website hero 🎨
