We have #NHL Injury Reports updated multiple times daily. Nice clean simple & easy to read format. Change the tab for different sports. Check it out, here’s the link: https://t.co/zSBSOvnCGo
Rutta not out here for the 3rd. Most likely it’s concussion protocol/playing it safe considering the score but would also want to rule out a jaw/facial bone fracture (takes multiple weeks to heal but can return with a cage)
#GoBolts@tfdnhl
Worry about a shoulder dislocation/subluxation for Cernak
Depends on severity of damage + injury history but can range from requiring surgery to repair labrum and 5-6 months off like Tarasenko to being able to return quickly with a brace or taping once reduced #GoBolts@tfdnhl
Worry about a medial/high ankle sprain for Lazar. Doesn’t seem as severe as others but view is obstructed. Fracture unlikely but can still be 4- 6 weeks if grade 2, day-to-day to a couple weeks if grade 1. Similar injury to Trocheck #NHLBruins@tfdnhl
Petry’s 5th finger caught in camera hole leading to likely ligament injury with potential dislocation. Tendon injury or fracture less likely
Depends on severity, can require surgery (like Mrazek) and be out multiple weeks to months or can buddy-tape and play #GoHabsGo@tfdnhl
Foegele injured on this hit
Some posterior force into his shoulder likely caused an anterior shoulder subluxation/dislocation (similar to Chris Paul recently). Considering it’s the playoffs, he’ll likely be day-to-day and perhaps try to play with a harness #LetsGoCanes@tfdnhl
Similar to Tavares for Evans
Next step will be brain imaging and neurological evaluation
Moving upper extremities so likely avoided spinal cord injury
I assume all in-hospital tests will be clear and he will be discharged home tomorrow in concussion protocol #GoHabsGo@tfdnhl
Worry is for a medial/high ankle sprain for Trocheck. Typically we see NHLers miss 4-6 weeks with these. Can be a lower grade and less time off but Brind’Amour sounds pessimistic. Worst case is associated fracture and months out #LetsGoCanes@tfdnhl
Craig Smith missed Game 2 last night
Looks to be an MCL injury and depending on grade, can be day-to-day to up to 6 weeks. Positive is that he came out for another shift but wouldn’t surprise me if he’s not back the rest of this series #NHLBruins@tfdnhl
Missed this awkward injury yesterday
In order of likelihood for Wahlstrom:
- MCL sprain (depends on grade, can be day-to-day to 6 weeks)
- neck strain (day-to-day)
- concussion (day-to-day)
- separated shoulder (typical 7-14 days) #Isles@tfdnhl
Orlov didn’t hit Miller in the head but appears that Miller hit his head hard on the ice
Similar protocol to Tavares last night and I assume will have a similar outcome with eventual discharge and entry into concussion protocol #NHLBruins@tfdnhl
Worry is for a broken wrist/hand/finger for Johansson (video: https://t.co/7LYucxqpOb)
Most broken bones are at least 4 weeks so likely out for first 2 rounds of playoffs at a minimum #MNWild@tfdnhl
Worry about a broken wrist (4+ weeks) or broken ribs (~4 weeks) for Nosek
Also possible is separated rib (Costochondral separation) min. 2 weeks
Hopefully just a sprained wrist or contusion (day-to-day)
Admit timelines tough in playoffs as players play hurt #VegasBorn@tfdnhl

Worry about a torn ACL, MCL, and/or meniscus for Barbashev after this play
If ACL spared, chance he comes back if Blues make a deep run but I’m doubtful
Blues have had 2 torn ACLs this year which is ridiculously high considering how rare it is in the NHL
#stlblues@tfdnhl
Possibilities for Krebs
Facial bone fracture: 4+ weeks, potential return for Game 1 playoffs with a cage
Concussion: day-to-day
Laceration only: back next game #VegasBorn@tfdnhl
Worry about a bone bruise (week-to-week), MCL injury (depends on grade but can be day-to-day to 4-6 weeks) or PCL injury (similar to MCL but also can be months if fully torn like McDavid) for Tom Wilson
I think it’s doubtful he’s ready for game 1 of Playoffs #ALLCAPS@tfdnhl
Oshie left the game after this. Immediate concern is for a muscular strain (groin/hip flexor) and best case day-to-day but can be week-to-week
Play also reminds me of Stamkos’ meniscus tear a few years ago. If meniscus trimmed 4-6 weeks, if repaired few months #ALLCAPS@tfdnhl
Duncan Keith likely in concussion protocol after a UFC-style knee to the head from the ref. Less likely but possible is also a facial fracture #Blackhawks@tfdnhl
