🚨Up to 50 INCHES of Snow is possible over the next 48 hours as parts of the Great Lakes gets ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED with Lake Effect Snow.

⚠️The National Weather Service has extended Winter Storm Warnings and Lake Effect Snow Warnings through Friday morning, with Heavy Lake Effect Snow falling on and off until then.

❄️The hardest hit areas will be Buffalo and areas just south of Lake Erie, along with Watertown and areas just south of Lake Ontario. Here, a near constant flow of moisture off the Lakes will fuel blizzard like Snow dumps within the most intense bands.

As with all Lake Effect Snow, totals will vary WIDELY, with some locations picking up 3 FEET or more, while others only see 3 inches. That is simply the reality of Lake Effect Snow.

Wherever the Lake Effect bands set up today, travel will be difficult to impossible, as snowfall rates may overwhelm plows.
