On-point is an understatement. Pellerin: We're throwing the book at little libraries. Could anything be more 'Ottawa'? - Ottawa Citizen https://t.co/As8wf6Ewoa
Is "change management" still relevant? No says @Martha_Edwards. It's essentially a set of tactics to make it easier to impose change on people & overcome resistance to change. Rather, we should be designing change with & around the people affected by it: https://t.co/eXbhKHPMPH
With a heavy heart & huge gratitude for the life & work of Ed Schein. He passed suddenly & painlessly, after a day of work with his son. His work is foundational for those in helping relationships with leaders & organizations in change & transition & will continue to be. RIP, Ed.
@Tina_Varvaresos One finds a good coach through word of mouth, largely, so you are right on track. Here is my high recommendation for fellow public servants: https://t.co/rOUF5pIpkW
@SimonFParker This does risk placing myself in the role of the ‘unwelcome rescuer’ so keeping the responsibility for naming and disrupting the patterns needs to remain with the clients. I facilitate participatory action research processes to surface those observations anonymously.
@SimonFParker In hierarchy the system is parent-child by design. I go macro & compare different structures & the phenomena they produce on human relationships & mental health. When folks recognize the water they are swimming in & what they see happening around them, the conversations change.
@AILINNS Reductionist & condescending, then redirected with gravitas and grace. Seeing leaders respond like this stokes my belly fire to steward systems change by continuing to change the conversations we are having.
