@CynfulWhisper It's because there is a sort of exultatuon in venting - something was weighing you down, and you let it go (partially, at least) and now you feel alive and electric again.

@28ripslater I think it's a little like the people that watch The Sopranos and skip the therapy scenes - they pick and choose the tough guy BS that validates these tiny, terrified souls who pretend to be scary and hard online.
@EggerDC It took me a year to read Blood Meridian because it was so soul-sucking and bleak that I kept having to put it down after a couple of chapters and do something life-affirming.
