• Being wrong is not a bad thing.
• It's Okay to question what you have been taught.
• Grades aren't as valuable as skills.
• Understanding is more important than memorization.
• Making mistakes is Okay. Learn from your mistakes.
Beginner athletes should not be coached by beginner coaches. They should be coached by the best coaches in coaching beginners. Getting it right from the start for the athlete is smarter than having to put it right later.
As a leader you must: -Communicate the facts.
-Commuicate the plan. -Communicate the challenges.
-Communicate the expectations.
-Communicate belief in people and the plan.
-Communicate the desired outcome.
-Communicate authentically.
-Communicate the truth.
Stop trying to justify your job by numbers achieved in the weight room. 95% of the time there is NO relationship between numbers achieved in the weight room with performance in the pool, on the track, field, or court. Think again!
