@anjali_deodhar@ClaireMPLS Right! They alwasy want to leave out this part. The USPS is destined to lose money due to policies they don't control. But they do a damn good job making sure everyone gets their mail.
@emilykmay I do think the ended up with post partum psychosis. What I don't get is why folks think she'd just walk free with a "not guilty due to insanity." That isn't how it works. She'd end up in a mental health facility getting the care she SHOULD have gotten before this happened.
@folkcardigan13 They REALLY miss where he outright has depression. Man was in WW2, got frozen, AND lost everyone he cared about. THEN finds out the war he thought he one wasn't over. Of course he was gonna be angry and depressed about it. It felt meaningless.
@DarrigoMelanie Agreed. I know my Daddy, he'd have caught a charge the same day. Hell, I'm a mom. I'd have caught a charge the same day. He covered for that man far too long and is now trying to save his reputation.
@l4rryb34r@KiwiOnTheSticks Sounds like my mil. She told my husband if we ever divorce, she's keeping me in the divorce. Loves her son, but my mil considers me one of her kids too.
@Bluecaribe2@DrNeilStone The first strains of covid were deadly for a LOT of people. Speaking as someone who lost 2 family members due to it. Who had it the same time my kids had it where we were all horribly ill. Over time, the virus mutated to not kill as many hosts.
@elizabethbelsky Too many folks forget kids are our future. Don't have to like or want kids. They DO and should be out in public to learn how to interact with the public. I'd have strong words for anyone who is mean to a child just because.
Bees are responsible for pollinating about one in three bites of the food we eat. Theyโre far more important to humans than any AI tool or data center. Please protect the bees.
@sengrahamresign Folks are odd at times. My parents picked my husband, kids, and myself up from an airport an hour and a half away because it was the one closest to them. Took us back to. No complaints. They were just happy to see us for a week.
@roatheseks Because a lot of DT is focused on her. WoL has been the main character for the other parts. Or this is my theory.
I personally loved that my WoL wasn't the focus and called it a vacay arc. We got to see this young adult mature.
@bkakbrainrot@kariluvsbangtan@robotEnthused 8 yrs in, there are more good days than bad. But there are a lot of bittersweet moments. Major life events she will miss that she should have been a part of. You learn to live with it and honor them. To talk about them.
@kariluvsbangtan@robotEnthused Speaking from experience. It feels like life stops. My sister was meant to grow old with me. I'm the oldest. I never imagined a world without her. The 3 of us were always told we'd only have each other one day, and now she is gone.
@robotEnthused >> during his own grief as he knew her since we were teens. Siblings who lose siblings absolutely get the short end of the stick. I don't begrudge my parents their grief. I grieved with them. My little brother and I were just expected to keep moving on.
@robotEnthused I will add sudden illness took her. My aunt and I handled funeral arrangements because my parents literally couldn't process. I gave birth to my youngest 3 wks later. I didn't truly break down until after she was buried. My husband picked up the pieces >>
