The Reason Men Have Nipples Is the Same Reason Transgender People Exist. No, Really.
Men have nipples because every human embryo starts identical.
For the first few weeks in the womb there is no male or female. Just a human being in development. Nipples form during that early identical stage before any sex differentiation has begun. By the time the biological process that creates male anatomy starts, the nipples are already there. So men keep them. They serve no reproductive function in males. They exist because the body built them before it knew which direction it was going.
That is not a design flaw. That is how human development actually works.
And it is exactly the same reason transgender people exist.
Here is the biology.
Around week six of pregnancy, if there is a Y chromosome, a gene called SRY switches on. This triggers the developing gonads to become testes. Those testes then produce testosterone. That surge of testosterone is what shapes male genital anatomy over the following weeks. Without it, female anatomy develops by default. This entire process, from the SRY gene switching on to genital formation being complete, happens between roughly weeks six and twelve of pregnancy.
Then the process stops. The genitals are done.
The brain has barely started.
Brain development continues throughout pregnancy and the sexual differentiation of the brain, the process that shapes whether your neurological architecture develops along male or female lines, happens in the second half of pregnancy. It is driven by a different hormonal environment at a different time. The hormones reaching the developing brain are not identical to the ones that shaped the genitals weeks earlier. The levels differ. The timing differs. The specific brain regions being shaped differ.
This is not one process. It is two entirely separate biological events happening weeks apart under different conditions.
And here is the part that changes everything.
Those two processes can be influenced differently. The hormonal environment during genital development and the hormonal environment during brain development do not have to match. Genetics, the mother’s hormone levels, the sensitivity of the fetal cells to hormones, chance variations in the biological cascade, all of these can produce a situation where the genitals develop one way and the brain develops another.
When that happens you get a person whose neurological sex does not match their anatomical sex.
That is a transgender person.
Not a choice. Not a trend. Not social media. Something that happened in the womb before the person had a name, before they had a single thought, before they had any awareness of the world they were entering.
This has been published in Nature since 1995. Confirmed by multiple independent research teams across three decades. Over 100 genetic links documented. The World Health Organisation agrees. The Royal College of Psychiatrists agrees. Every major medical institution on earth agrees.
You already accepted that male nipples make sense once you understood how human development works.
Transgender people make sense for exactly the same reason.
The biology was always there.
It just never got explained this simply.

In American schools, when lunch ends,
children throw their trays into plastic bins and walk away.
A hired janitor comes in later to sweep up the mess.
In Japan, there are no janitors.
At 12:15 p.m., the students put on white smocks, hairnets, and masks.
They carry heavy pots of soup from the kitchen themselves.
They ladle out equal portions for their classmates.
Nobody touches their spoon until everyone is served and they say "Itadakimasu" together.
Then, at 1:00 p.m., something even more profound happens:
O-soji. Cleaning time.
Seven-year-old kids get on their hands and knees with white cloths — zokin.
They push those cloths down the long wooden hallways,
polishing the grain until it shines like glass.
They wipe the chalkboards. They clean the toilets.
The teachers clean alongside them.
Why make children scrub floors?
Because when you spend fifteen minutes on your knees scrubbing a floor,
you will never, for the rest of your life,
drop a piece of trash on it.
It teaches a child that no work is below them.
No human being is born a master.
A high-trust society isn't born from laws.
It's born on the knees of seven-year-olds
taking pride in a clean floor.
A seven-year-old boy in Tokyo was walking home from school.
He looked down at the sidewalk.
A 10-yen coin. Worth about seven cents.
He picked it up, turned around,
and walked two blocks to the local police box — the Koban.
Watch what happens next.
In most places, an officer would laugh,
pocket the nickel, and tell the kid to run along.
Not here.
The officer pulled out an official document.
He knelt down on the wooden floor so he was eye-to-eye with the boy.
With a straight face and full seriousness,
he asked for the child's name, the exact location found,
and the exact time.
He stamped the form.
He handed the boy a formal receipt.
Then he bowed from his knees and said:
"Thank you for doing the right thing. Japan is safer because of you."
Last year, people turned in over 4 billion yen in lost cash
to Tokyo police stations.
Over 70 percent went back to its rightful owners.
You don't get that kind of society by accident.
You get it by treating a seven-cent coin
like the honor of an entire country.
@TiffanyGeo21008 I knew some of the old timey tgs. Those were the days when dolls got cut, cut and cut some more.
Today you can be a lot more you. Men have vastly better tolerance. With a little effort you can go a long way.
@michellexotter@TheGodzillaDude May I please beg your pardon?
