The TGM Plugin Activation class provides an efficient way to allow WordPress theme authors to reference and include required plugins within their themes.
@DigitlJaved Extracting the plugin files would include the behaviour in your theme, but wouldn't be installable / activatable as a plugin.
As per https://t.co/JY5apnPEAR you'd need to define the slug of a WPORG-hosted plugin (ACF, not ACF Pro, in your case).
